MANILA, Philippines – Nine-week-old French bulldog puppy Lentil is melting the hearts of thousands of netizens who have endeared themselves to his story of survival.

Though his vulnerable cuteness can partly account for Lentil Mania, the main reason is that Lentil was born with a cleft palate and deformed nose and lip.

Anyone training a puppy to catch knows you have to start somewhere.

For a puppy named Pacino, the star of a viral YouTube video, the focus and effort are there, but the execution needs some work. Looking like a right fielder on his first day of Little League, Pacino is ready for the throw, has his eye on the ball (or in this case, a stuffed bone), but can’t come down with it as he goes off balance and tumbles backward.
