Dog: Dog Training Made Easy

Thursday 2nd of September 2010

Dog training can actually be an enjoyable task rather than the painful chore most would view it as. It is always very important for a dog owner to understand that dog training is not going to happen overnight, it will in fact take a little bit of time, which means patience is an absolute must. You do not have to be a world-class dog trainer or spend money on expensive training classes. In fact, it is very possible that you could train your dog to be the most well-behaved, obedient dog in your neighborhood. Everyone that owns a dog really does want their dog to be well behaved and for their dog to listen to their commands, but nobody seems to want to put in any amount of work in order to really make this happen. It is so funny, it seems that most people just expect that their dog will just automatically listen to their commands, maybe if they scream it at them or whip their behinds.

Unfortunately, this is not the case, and whipping their behinds with the daily newspaper will only lead to the next day’s paper used the same way. It is important to understand that having a well trained dog requires that you do some research to find some accurate information on useful dog training tips to help you through the dog training process. Rather than dreading this experience, view it as a time for you and your dog to bond. Both of you can begin to trust each other more and create a new bond you would not have otherwise. Dog training can be a time when you will spend a lot of time with your dog. One reason for so many different kinds of behavior problems with a dog is because they are lonely, nobody to play with, not getting enough attention, which is why spending time with your dog is so very important.

Let your dog know how very proud of him you are anytime that he does something worth rewarding, even if it is just something small really. The more you praise them, the more likely they will be to continue their good behavior for you. Dog training does not have to be complex. Take a seat in your backyard on a sunny afternoon and just throw the ball around with your dog. This is some great one-on-one time with you and your dog giving him or her the attention needed to help alleviate some of the behavior problems caused by lack of attention. This quickly turns into a new little game for you to play with one another and is really a fun way for you and your dog to pass some time. During this time, you could start to apply some of the dog training techniques without your dog realizing what you are doing. This is always a great bonus. Soon, both you and your dog will be happier overall thanks to a little extra time, attention and dog training techniques! It all depends on what you want your dog to learn. If you are not overly concerned about your pet knowing more than a handful of commands – that is perfectly fine – just continue simple games like fetch, retrieve, or even chase.

If you’d like to know even more ways to train your dog to be well behaved, play safe and respect your every command, then check out this review of the best dog training book today and see how anybody, including you and your dog, can learn to live in perfect harmony without frustrating and aggressive episodes of bad dog behavior.
