Even when we are in the room with him, he wants to explore the parts of the house where he is not allowed. I prefer not to use an electric shock system; and the super tall gates are really expensive. We’ve tried every way we know to train him otherwise, but regardless of the consequences it seems that he just can’t help himself. His curiosity seems to be getting the best of him, and it’s driving us crazy! As soon as he gets over the gate he goes straight to any/all trash cans and makes a big mess. What am I doing wrong?

I tried PetSmart, Petco, Target, and Walmart. I bought the one with the swing open door, it fits good but my little yorkie manages to jump over it. I moved it up she STILL jumps it, i see online at petsmart they sell the extentions for the top, but i need to get something today. Does anyone know where they sell TALL 39″ gates or the extentions for the top of them?

Just a suggestion; have you tried any of the dog catalogs such as Foster and Smith?

petco sells all kind of gates, im sure they would have something like that.
